Failure of Using Floor Spring and Its Solution

Floor spring is a type of door closer, which is a hydraulic door closer. It's just that its compression spring device is a worm gear instead of a gear and a rack. Such door closers (floor springs) are widely used. Not only are ordinary shops in use, but also the side doors of the revolving doors at the entrances and exits of various hotels and buildings. These doors that use floor springs are also called floor bounce doors. Today, we will tell you what faults are most likely to occur in floor springs? How to solve these failures.

1. The floor spring has oil leakage problem

If the product has quality assurance, the floor spring will generally not leak oil. Or if the product itself adopts constant temperature vacuum oil injection and built-in constant temperature device, there will be no oil leakage. Be careful when installing. The governor valve needs to be above the surface of the floor spring, otherwise it will cause oil leakage. The axis of the upper door and the central axis of the floor spring are on the same vertical line.

2. Pay attention to the opening angle of the floor spring.

The angle of the door should be controlled according to the product manual of the floor spring. If the door is opened unexpectedly, the opening angle exceeds the specified maximum opening angle, which will cause damage to the internal structure of the floor spring. In severe cases, the shaft head may also be broken.

3. The floor spring has the problem of broken spring

It can be understood literally, that is, the internal spring is broken, causing the door to be weak and shake a lot.

4. After installation, there is a sound when opening and closing the door

When the door opens in both directions from inside and outside to 90° or starts to close from 90°, a "boom" sound is produced.

Main reason for failure

A. The taper of the central axis of the floor spring is worn out, resulting in a mismatch between the taper and the gap;

B. The main body of the floor spring is not firmly fixed in the iron box, and will loosen during the door opening and closing process, such as swinging left and right;

C. The rocker arm is not firmly fixed in the long door clip, and it is loose. Pay special attention to judgment when checking, because the door is between 10 and 80 degrees, and it is not easy to judge that the door is loose during the continuous opening or closing state;

D. There are raised foreign objects in the hole of the rocker arm, which causes the hole and the shaft taper to match poorly, resulting in a gap;

E. The taper of the square hole of the glass door clip does not match the cone surface of the shaft.

5. After a period of use, the door leaf cannot return to 0°

Cause of failure

A. When pre-embedding the ground spring, the operation is not standard and too biased, so that after the door is installed, when adjusting the zero position, it has not been adjusted;

B. After using for a period of time, the loosening of the fixing screws of the floor spring and rocker arm will also cause the zero position to be out of alignment;

C. During the pre-embedding process of the floor spring iron box, the surrounding cement is not firmly fixed, and the fixed screws around the floor spring deform the top of the iron box during the opening and closing process of the door, causing the floor spring to be loosely fixed.
